Kindergarten Tours For Parents And Children Sign-up at Kindergarten Screening for a time that is convenient for you. - Monday, June 4 at 9:15 am and 1:45 pm - Tuesday, June 5 at 9:15 am and 11 am - Wednesday, June 6 at 2:30 pm - Thursday, June 7 at 9:15 am - Friday, June 8 at 9:15 am Engineering Day - Thursday June 7th Thursday June 7th is Engineering Day for the 3rd grade students at South Row School. Engineering Day is an all day event filled with fun and interactive engineering activities for the students. Teams of 4-5 students will work together throughout the day to solve the challenges presented to them. We will need 20 adult volunteers (parents, grandparents, kind neighbors…) who can help chaperone these teams, facilitate their teamwork and/or help set up the activities. No engineering experience needed – just your enthusiasm.If you would like to help for Engineering Day, please click here to complete the volunteer form fill and return it to school by Friday May 25th. Author’s Day - Tuesday June 12 Author’s Day is coming on Tuesday June 12 from 1:45 - 3pm! This is a special event organized like a giant picnic outside on the field behind the school. On each blanket are seated a parent volunteer and four students, one from each grade level 1 through 4. The students take turns to read their work to the group on their blanket. It’s wrapped up with everyone enjoying a popsicle donated by the PTO. This is an annual tradition at South Row, greatly enjoyed by the children and the adult volunteers. Every student from 1st to 4th grade participates in Author’s Day. We need 100 volunteers to bring a blanket and listen to the children. In the event that we have extra volunteers, some blankets will have more than one parent. Parents and students are assigned a blanket number in advance. Please click here to complete the volunteer form and return it to the school as soon as possible and no later than May 25th. You will be notified of your blanket number and other particulars shortly before June 12th.The South Row Art Show The South Row Art Show will be held Thursday, May 31 from 7 -8:30. Mrs. Cristantiello needs volunteers for the following tasks. Please email her by Fri. May 11th if you can help in any way. cristantiello@chelmsford.k12.ma.us1. Volunteers to take home class folders and mount and label the artwork - at least one parent from each class. Art work may be picked up from the Art room anytime between 8-10 am Thurs. May 17 - Thurs. May 24 2. People to help mount artwork on large foam core boards Tues. May 29th and Wed. May 30th 3. People to help hang display 3rd and 4th grade masks on stage and outside cafeteria Wed May 30th and Thursday May 31st after all lunches 4. People to help set up on the DAY OF ART SHOW May 31st after Lunch from 2-5pm 5. People to help bring artwork back to art room after show at 8:30 May 31st. South Row Chorus and String Ensemble - Spring Concert South Row Chorus and String Ensemble will perform their Spring Concert on Thursday, May 24 at 7 pm for families at the Performing Arts Center. Performances for students will also be held on Thursday at 9:30 a. m. and again at 2:15 p. m. in the South Row School cafeteria.Kindergarten Screening for children who will attend South Row Kindergarten Screening for children who will attend South Row for the 2012 - 2013 school year will be held on Tuesday, May 22 and Friday, May 25. Thursday June 7th is Engineering Day for the 3rd grade students at South Row School. Engineering Day is an all day event filled with fun and interactive engineering activities for the students.
